It exists to organise a body of thinking around a specific modern problem:
the collapse of decision-making under conditions of abundance.

Definitions & key ideas
The terms below recur across the essays and maps. They are defined here to prevent drift and misinterpretation.
Decision debt
The accumulated cost of unresolved choices, experienced as background mental noise, hesitation, and loss of momentum.
Orientation
Clarity about what matters and what does not, prior to planning or execution.
Judgement
The human capacity to weigh trade-offs, accept cost, and decide under uncertainty.
Signal saturation
A state in which too many inputs compete for action, preventing prioritisation.
Lane
A structurally distinct mode of work with its own costs, rewards, and identity requirements.
How to use this material
You do not need to read everything.
If you feel overwhelmed, start with a decision map. If you want context, start with an essay.
If something brings clarity, stop.
This material is designed to reduce urgency, not create it.
What this material does not do
It does not:
